Another bank hits Mortage Originators

On 19 January this year, I wrote about Standard Bank's fray with the two largest Mortgage Originators in SA, under the heading: Banks Boot Mortgage Originators (click link to read).

Now less than Three weeks later, ABSA fires the latest salvage in what appears to be and escalating conflict between former allies (banks and mortgage originators).

Realestateweb reports that ABSA has slashed commissions to mortgage originators in an ongoing effort to cut costs, plus they are increasing pressure for better quality business...
